You have limited time/money available for therapy and want to use it most effectively.
You are goal and solution oriented and want to jump right into problem-solving.
Your mental health is generally stable with no safety concerns.

Varies greatly depending on client’s needs. Typically 6-24 months.
You want to take time to work through complex issues.
You are interested in delving deep to understand yourself and your problems.
You want to make gradual behavioral changes based on your insights with guidance and support from therapist.
You want to practice new skills and maintain the progress you made before ending therapy to ensure lasting change and prevent relapse.

$ 145 for 50-60 minutes session
Your therapist is out of network with your insurance.
You don’t want insurance to have access to your mental health record.
You don’t want a label/diagnosis in your record. (Insurances require that treatment is “medically necessary” and a mental health diagnosis must be provided for billing.)
You don’t want your insurance to determine any parameters of your treatment such as length of treatment, session frequency or treatment modalities used.
